Installation: 30‘481 punched awl holes on paper, 251 x 162 cm

It is estimated that the number of refugees, who have died on their way to Europe since 2000, is higher than 29‘000 (Source: The Migrant Files). The majority of these dead refugees have drowned (in the sea). But also hundreds died of hunger or thurst, cold or hypothemia, suffocating in trucks or when crossing minefields.
